SERVICE: 18th of April is celebrated all over the world as "World Heritage Day". On this day, the Dogra Art Museum situated at Mubarak Mandi Jammu intends to organize an awareness programme among students about the necessity and role played by Museums. Based on this, our students too got an opportunity to visit the Art Museum along with their teachers. The purpose behind the visit was to expose our students to new ideas and concepts and infact to make them aware regarding the rich and diverse history of the land where they live.
SPORTS:Games are integral part of studies. Playing is essential for children to relax and have fun. Students enjoyed the indoor game Ludo in the sports room. Class 4th girls and boys participated in four groups A,B,C,D. The players reced their tokens from start to finish according to the rolls of a single dice. The winners were Gokul, Aditya, Janvi and Rashu respectively for their teams. Students thoroughly enjoyed the game.
SKILL:Music binds our soul, hearts and emotions. It cheers the spirit and lightens the heart. In fact through music, children learn to express their feelings and ideas. So, inorder to bring out the singing talent of the students, Inter House Group Song Competition was organized at D.B.NMM on 20 April 2019. The theme of the competition was devotional. Each house prepared a group song under the expert guidance of their music teacher. Each and every student of the house showcased their mastery over voice modulation, pitch,rhythm, and tone. Finally, the firsr prize was bagged by Vivekananda House, Second prize shared by- Radhakrishnan House, Aurobindo House and Third by Tagore House respectively. Atlast, the winners were appreciated by our Respected Principal Mam and the prizes were distributed.
STUDY: Lord Mahavira's life is an inspiration for all. His birth anniversary is celebrated as Mahavir Jayanti. To emphasize the importance of Lord Mahavira's teachings and orient the students towards it, the biography of Lord Mahavira was presented before the students through a power point presentation. Through this presentation a message was revealed that right faith, right knowledge and right conduct together help us to attain the liberation of one's self.
