SERVICE: Field trips are not only good fun,they allow students to absorb,interact and immerse themselves in a practical way.Every student will benefit from learning outside the classroom,whatever their age is.Aiming to introduce the children to the functioning of a radio station,D.B.N MM School organised a visit to radio station situated at Panjtirthi.Students of grade VII visited radio station to see how local radio station functions.They got an opportunity to look around the studio and got a chance to meet with station staff members.They were also briefed about the exciting opportunities in the field of radio broadcasting.Overall it has been a fantastic experience for our students who not only got valuable information and guidance in the field of media but also learnt how good communication skills and teamwork can help us in achieving our goals.
SPORTS:Overall development of a child is possible when he maintains a balance between academic and co-curricular activities.To develop harmony and the healthy environment among the schools in the vicinity of Jammu an inter school District level competition was held at M.A.M Stadium , Jammu from 24th April to 27th April. D.B.N.V.M.M.M tried to expand their sports arena. Our girls participated in the game,Carrom Board in the under 14 and under 17 categories on 24th April,19. Further boys participated on 26th April and girls on 27th April,19 in Karate also for , under 14 and under 17. Such competitions encourage our children to have stronger, mental clarity and exhibit their skills in a disciplined way.
Our students have brought laurels to the school. Boys Rajat and Gourav of class 8th won Silver medals. Divya of class excelled Gold medal in under 17. Indeed it is a proud moment to cherish.
SKILL: Earth Day also known as "Sun - Earth Day" and "International Mother Earth Day" which is annually celebrated on April 22. Earth day should encourage us to reflect on what we are doing to make aur planet a more sustainable and livable place. On the eve of this day, the students of 2nd and 3rd class of our school made a logo "Save Environment" by using disposable plates, glace papers and hand-made papers in order to demonstrate the support for environmental protection. The activity that was performed by the students encourages us to plant more trees. "Trees are Earth's endless effort to speak to the listening heaven". Our aim is to generate awareness among the public about the importance of environment and its cleanliness. It is our collective and individual responsibility to protect and nurture the global family.
STUDY: Earth is the only planet that sustains life and Earth Day is the only day that is supposed to create more awareness and appreciation for the earth's environment. To encourage children to protect the earth our school organized an activity in form of writing skills, in which children were informed that 'Who started earth day? When is it celebrated? And why? In which they realized that their existence depends totally on the environment of the earth.
