Basant Panchami name itself describes the festival, Basant means “Spring” and Panchami means “fifth day”, so Basant Panchami falls on the fifth day of spring. It is celebrated by people in various ways depending on the region. Some worship goddess Saraswati, the symbol of art, music and learning. D.B.N.M.M. also celebrated Basant Panchami with great zeal and fervor. The function began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by our Respected Principal mam Mrs. Sonika Mahajan. The school campus was gripped with joy as there was a special celebration that included various devotional songs, a group song and wonderful group dance performance by our students and tiny tots. Koyal and Vrinda of class 9th and 5th respectively shared the importance of Basant Panchami in a poetic way. The school environment got uplifted with the energy of positivity and serenity. On the eve of Basant Panchami, our school campus was beautifully decorated with yellow coloured flowers and balloons.
