SERVICE:The world wide community of Museum ICOM is celebrating Inter-national Museum day on 18th of May 2019 throughout the world. On this day, the Dogra art museum situated at Mubarak Mandi Jammu organized general awareness programme for students to acquaint and understand their heritage. Based on this our students too got an opportunity to visit the Art Museum along with their teachers.The purpose behind visit was to expose our students to new ideas and infact to create a sense of appreciation among them for the preservation of the rich cultural heritage.
SKILL:With the motive to develop vital skill, cooperative learning and efficiency among the students, a badge-making activity was organised for the students of class 6th. Basic idea behind the activity was to indulge students in making their own house-badge instead of purchasing them from the market. For this, they used ribbon of Red,Yellow, Green and Blue colour as their requirement. The students showcased their talent and also showed their creativity and neatness in making the badges.
SPORTS:The inter zonal District Level Boys competitions of Jammu in the disciplines of Kabaddi and kho-kho got under way at venues, M.A Stadium and Govt. He. Sec. School, Jammu under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports.
Two boys of our school Sumit Kundal of class 9th got selected for District level Kho-Kho for under 17, whereas Janak Chhetri of class 10th got selected for District Level Kabaddi also for under 17.
We congratulate the qualified players and wish them all the best for their further matches.
NCC: Six girls of our school have been attending N.C.C. camp at Nagrota for 10 days which started on 14th May ,2019 and will conclude on 23rd May, 2019.
STUDY:Science experiments promote discovery and learning. It is something that foster scientific learning in early childhood and helping students to discover new ideas and concepts during their search for knowledge. Based on such ideas, an experiment was performed by the students of class 6th with the help of their science teacher based on the topic ' Test of solubility'. The reason for carrying out such practical was to broaden their understanding level and to enhance their skill in science subject matter.
