SERVICE: Basant Panchami occurs on the fifth day of Magha. It is also called Saraswati Puja or the festival of kites. It is celebrated by the Hindus as well as Sikh community. On this day, the Goddess of knowledge, wisdom and art, Goddess Saraswati is worshipped. On this occassion students of V class planted yellow coloured flower plants in the school compound.
SKILL: Teaching kids about a clock and making them understand the concept of time is one of the most challenging aspects for anyone. As we know, children learn best when they are having fun. Keeping this in mind, a clock making activity was organised for the kids of class U.K.G. They made beautiful clocks with paper plates with the help of their class teacher. This type of activity is a great way to get the children interested in learning and also to grasp the idea quickly and more efficiently.
SPORTS: Games are integral part of studies. Playing is essential for children to relax and have fun. Being a rainy day students enjoyed the indoor game Ludo in the sports room. Class VII girls participated in four groups A,B,C,D. The players raced their tokens from start to finish according to the rolls of a single dice. The winners were Neharika Pandita, Bhumika Raina, Sapna Devi and Neha Kumari respectively for their teams. Students thoroughly enjoyed the game.
STUDY: Students of class XI visited the Mansar Wildlife Sanctuary/ Lake for their project of Environmental Science. The project was based on the topic “Mansar Lake” it is also a holy site sharing the legend and sancity of Lake Manasarovar. It was a perfect place for students to come close to the magic of nature. Students were guided by their teachers and were very happy to know more about such a beautiful place.
